粽子
Zongzi, is a traditional Chinese food, made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo, reed, or other large flat leaves. They are cooked by steaming or boiling. In the Western world, they are also known as rice dumplings, or sticky rice dumplings.[via. Wikipedia]
如何表达甜&咸?
甜味的粽子自然是Sweet了;说到咸,你可能最先想到的词是salty,但英语里专门有个词来形容非甜味的,咸鲜或带辣的口味:
Savory ['seɪvərɪ] adj. (常见于英式英语savoury)
► having a spicy or salty quality without being sweet 咸鲜的
savory rabbit stew 咸鲜炖兔肉
► 也常用于红酒品鉴,形容葡萄酒不甜而偏咸的咸鲜之感。
I prefer savory Bordeaux.
我更喜欢带点咸鲜的波尔多红酒。
►Step 1: Glutinous Rice 糯米
首先选择上好的圆糯米,(糯米有两种,长糯米不适合包粽子,因为没有圆糯米粘性足,口感糯)。然后根据自己的喜好,可以放些红豆、红枣等等。
►Step 2:Stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in reed, or other large flat leaves.
加上喜欢的馅,并用芦苇或其他宽叶包裹。
►Step 3:cooked by steaming or boiling

The Dragon Boat Festival, also called the Duanwu Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month (五月初五) according to the Chinese calendar (农历).
Besides,the festival has also been marked by eating zong zi.Zong zi is made of glutinous rice (糯米)stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo(竹筒) or reed leaves(芦苇叶).People who mourned(哀悼) the death of Qu threw Zong zi into the river to feed his ghost every year.
With the changes of the times, the memorial turns to be a time for protection from evil and disease for the rest of year. People will hang healthy herbs on the front door to clear the bad luck of the house. Although the significance of the festival might be different with the past, it still gives the observer an opportunity to glimpse a part of the rich Chinese cultural heritage (中国文化遗产).
